Model/Artist Interview with Gabby Green

Location

Memphis, TN

What made you get into modeling/fashion? Well, I’ve been modeling since before I can remember and that was something that came natural to me as a little girl. I was a “girly girl” as people would call it,so I liked to get dressed up, put on makeup, and do fashion shows, etc. That was the start of my experience, and ever since then I’ve been involved with the modeling/fashion industry in some way. Recently, I’ve been diving into freelance work in order to build my own brand as a music artist.

How long have you been modeling? I would say about 10-12 years.

What are some of your hobbies? My hobbies include singing, writing music, and recording, using social media, listening to music, studying, working out, and eating.

How do you view the industry? I view the industry just like I view any and everything else; it is what you make it. Yes, the industry has its pro’s and con’s, but so do all other aspects of life and the decisions we make put us in the situations we face.

You have anyone in mind you want to work with next; model, etc.? There are so many models I’d love to work with; so many inspirational women in general. If I had to choose one though, I’d have to say India Love, because she’s my go to for concept and image inspiration. I just love her style.

Who are some of your favorite designers? See, now I feel really bad because I should have a concrete answer for this question but I don’t. I honestly don’t favor any designers at the moment, hopefully one day soon that will change.

Where can we find you online?

My Instagram and Twitter are @iamGabbyGreen

You can also find my website:  iamGabbyGreen.com

From my website, you can find the links to all of my music etc.

What are some of your inspirations? I have so many inspirations, but the main one is my mother. My mom came all the way from Germany to the United States with little to nothing. She stayed here just to raise me, and started from the ground up despite everything that came against her. To this day, I haven’t seen her shed a single tear although she goes through so much. And that in itself gives me the fuel I need to keep going, and to go harder each chance I get. I want to be able to provide for my family, and others, and this is how I plan to do so.  So that’s really all the inspiration I need to keep pushing in the industry, because I wouldn’t rather be doing anything else.

What is a typical day for you? A typical day for me consists of songwriting and doing what needs to be done around the house, for my career, my family, etc. I don’t lie around all day looking for things to do, because my to-do list is never ever empty. Usually, I’m on the phone discussing upcoming projects, doing a photoshoot, or scheduling for future events. If I’m not doing either of those I’m in the studio, studying, working on my website, or handling some type of business in order to further myself.

When you’re not working and at the house what do you lay around in? Basically a T-shirt……yep,that’s pretty much it.

What is the sexiest thing about you in your eyes? My ambition; my need for nobody but those who need me & of course, God. I make things happen on my own. Most times I don’t know how I do it, and that is what I love most about myself.

When people first meet you what do they look at first? When people first see me, they’ll probably be intrigued by my outfit, hair, or my makeup…depending on the day. I just like to be different, but at the same time I make sure everything I do is pleasing to the eye.

When you were growing up what did you always want to be? An entertainer!!!

If you could shoot anywhere in the world where would it be? It would have to be the Virgin Islands, Jamaica, or Germany.

What is something you’re willing to share with your readers that they may not know about you?Everything I have, everything I am, everything I do is because of ME. I independently make things happen because honestly, nobody will do the job better for you than YOU.For anyone who’s watching me, maybe even looking up to me, I want to be motivation. I want you all to know that the world is literally yours, and if I can make something out of nothing, so can you. It’s about networking! Being open! You have got to make those opportunities happen if they aren’t knocking at your door.

What separates you from all of the other aspiring models? Simple, I’m Gabby Green and that’s someone they’ll never be. I’m more than just an “aspiring model”, I’m a model and music artist who’s in school for Music Business aspiring to be and run my own brand. I’m business savvy and I know my worth. My entire lifestyle is a movie, from the initiatives I take sun up to sun down.Instead of working to model for others, I’m working to build myself up for when companies and brands reach out to me to represent their products. That’s the goal. I’m going to keep working for myself until the world wakes up and works for me. Because even when it may not seem like it, I can guarantee they’re watching.

Anything you want to add before we close out? Shout out to Patrick C Photography for the opportunity to shoot and be featured on the site! Probably one of my favorite experiences shooting and one I’ll always refer to!
